Kelley Gavor is the founder of Create Spot Art Studio, where creativity is fostered with intention, warmth, and a strong focus on artistic growth. With over 20 years of teaching experience across all levels—from introductory art to advanced portfolio preparation—she brings extensive knowledge of materials, techniques, and creative development.
Her students have achieved recognition at local, state, and national levels, including numerous college scholarships, Scholastic Art Awards, state competition wins, Congressional Art Award recipients, and a national winner of the Crosley Cruiser Competition. These accomplishments reflect her ability to build both technical skill and individual artistic voice.
Kelley is passionate about supporting artists at every stage, from beginners to advanced creatives. She believes growth begins with curiosity and exploration, and her teaching approach makes art accessible, structured, and deeply rewarding. She is known for breaking down complex techniques into clear, achievable steps while maintaining high artistic standards.
Her studio environment is designed to be both educational and restorative—encouraging focus, creativity, and a sense of community. Kelley values the shared experience of making art and the confidence that grows through hands-on exploration and creative risk-taking.
Outside the studio, Kelley is a devoted wife and an enthusiastic mother to her two children, Troy and Sadie, and shares her home with her dogs, Leo and Leia. These roles shape her belief in creating spaces that are welcoming, balanced, and rooted in real-life connection.
Through her work, she invites students to step away from daily distractions and reconnect with the joy of making—engaging both hands and heart in a meaningful creative process.
